Suzanne has been a bilingual freelance translator operating from London since the late 1980s, focussing on literary fiction and non-fiction. She obtained her postgraduate certificate in literary translation from Dutch into English from University College in 2002, and has been accredited by the Dutch Foundation for Literature and Flanders Literature.
A keen reader of new Dutch and Flemish writing, she has translated, in addition to the authors listed below, amongst others: Simone Atangana Bekono, Kader Abdolah, Abelkader Benali, Joris van Casteren, Pascal Verbeken, Thomas Verbogt, René ten Bos and Jan Cremer.
